According to AFP, the tragic Montenegro bus crash happened on a very rainy Sunday and is one of the deadliest accidents to ever occur in the Adriatic republic. The tourists involved in the Montenegro bus crash were mostly older tourists. What's more, a 12-year-old Montenegrin boy was injured when the bus struck him as he walked along on the road. Thankfully, the boy's injuries are not life threatening. However, several of the injured have yet to emerge from critical condition.

"The driver drove a little too fast and the bus slid," a survivor Carmen Dorobet told Montenegrin media.

According to Fox News, the mountainous roads of norther Montenegro is a site of frequent road accidents.

In 2006, a train traveling within the area somehow derailed, which cost the lives of 47 passengers.
